Open House at Deerfield Presbyterian Church — June 27, 2026
As The United States of America celebrates its 250th Birthday, Deerfield Presbyterian Church commemorates its storied contributions to American Independence. Join us as we tell stories and reflect upon the patriots who paved the way for our Freedom! Along with food and activities, we will replicate a colonial worship service including an address to the local militia from Deerfield Presbyterian Church’s first minister, Enoch Green, from May 22nd, 1775 as he calls servicemen to a righteous cause and invites participation in the war efforts from the local citizens. Throughout the morning we will offer guided tours of the sanctuary, which was built in 1771, and the cemetery, highlighting the Revolutionary War veterans laid to rest there and salute them with the firing of a historical cannon. Come celebrate the rich history of our community on June 27th from 10am to 2pm! It will be a day to remember!
