Worship and Music at Deerfield Presbyterian Church

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being. (Psalm 104:33)

Worship is at the very heart of our life as a congregation of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.  Each Sunday morning we gather at 11:00AM to give glory to God by singing his praise, hearing his Eternal Word in the Scriptures as they are read and proclaimed in the sermon, and encouraging one another in our Christian life and witness. Visitors are welcomed warmly, and a nursery is provided for babies and toddlers.

Music at Deerfield Presbyterian is mostly traditional in style.  We are blessed with a wonderful small Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ, whose glorious sounds encourage the congregation to sing enthusiastically. We use a hymnal which contains all of the Psalms and many of the great hymns of our Christian heritage.

The church choir sings almost every Sunday morning from September to June. Our anthem repertoire includes Classical, Jazz, Spirituals, Gospel and Contemporary styles, often performed with flute, violin or trumpet in addition to piano or organ.
