KAIROS is an exciting 9-session discipleship course on the Purpose and Plan of God for His people and His world from Genesis to Revelation.
BIBLICAL: We discover that mission lies at the center of God’s concern and that an overriding theme throughout the whole Bible is God blessing His people to be a blessing to all people groups.
HISTORICAL: God’s purpose can be seen throughout history. We gain much from studying the past success and failures of the church.
STRATEGIC: We learn about strategies that bear fruit in reaching unreached people groups in today’s world. Every believer and church has a significant role to play.
CULTURAL: We learn what culture is and see what it takes to communicate and make disciples in a culture different from our own.
When & Where
October 5th through November 30th, Thursdays from 12:30pm to 2:30pm
- In-person in the CE Building.
- We will not meet on Thanksgiving but instead meet the Friday prior, November 17th from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
- Small group discussions will be scheduled at a time mutually convenient to the group, typically on Wednesdays either in-person or on Zoom.
- Homework includes about 60-90 minutes of reading per week.
OR
October 2nd through November 27th, Mondays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
- On Zoom
- Small group discussions held during class time on Zoom.
- When taking the course in this format on Zoom, in addition to the 60-90 minutes of reading per week you will be asked to watch a video for homework.
Registration
- Registration deadline is September 14th.
- Cost, supplemented by the church for members and friends, is $25 per person. Checks made payable to “Deerfield Presbyterian Church” with “Kairos” on the memo line. Mail or drop in the offering plate with a note.
